Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Türkiye.

The Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy, Mr V. A Chikanda, joined the diplomatic community, members of the  Zimbabwe business sector and the rest of the world to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye. The event, held at the residence of the Ambassador, Berna Kasnakli Versteden, highlighted the excellent relationship that Zimbabwe has with the Republic of Türkiye. Her Excellency mentioned the rich history of Türkiye and the heroic efforts of its founding father, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Türkiye has been an inspiration for the rest of the world in peacekeeping and its provision of humanitarian assistance. Honourable F. Shava, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade was Guest of Honour and gave a speech celebrating the relations between Zimbabwe and Türkiye. He read on behalf of His Excellency, the President of Zimbabwe to congratulate the Centennial Anniversary of Türkiye. Türkiye is one of the key members of a global society aiming to de-escalate the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
